Dallas Player Showcase Rescheduled To Next Week Due To Cold Weather

by Sports Information

Dallas, TX -- The National Gridiron League (NGL) has officially rescheduled its upcoming player showcase in Dallas due to inclement winter weather. Originally set to take place on Saturday, February 22nd, the event will now be heldon Saturday, March 1st, due to cold weather in metro Dallas this week.

The league made the decision in response to this week’s extreme cold in the Dallas area, which has brought below-freezing temperatures, icy conditions, and even snowfall. With player safety and overall event quality as top priorities, NGL officials opted to push the showcase back by one week.

“This decision was made with the athletes in mind and providing them the best atmosphere to display their abilities,” an NGL spokesperson stated. “The weather conditions would have made performance difficult and created unsafe field conditions. Moving the event to March 1 ensures a better environment for players to perform at their best.”

The Dallas showcase is one of several NGL-organized events designed to evaluate and recruit talent for the league’s 2025 season. These showcases allow aspiring professional players to demonstrate their skills in front of league executives, coaches, and scouts.

Players previously registered for the February 22 event will automatically transfer their registration to the new date. The Player Showcase will be held on Saturday, March 1, at Cecil Jenson Field at Central Park in White Settlement, Texas. The start time for the player showcase will be 2 PM CST.
